1 - READ THE WORD
Building a clear goal
“Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air.”
1 Corinthians 9:26
2 - Reflect
Paul explains where his motivation comes from, what his reasons are for preaching the word of God, and compares this run to a sporting race, in the sense that it is a discipline entrusted by God the Father and has a purpose. He does it for the evangelism, and for having seen the fruits of the power of God.
Our lives must continue in the same way, without beating the air, imprecise, instead trying to visualize a clear goal and trying to reach what God proposed to us. Setting our minds, our emotions, and our actions towards being good believers, good companions and serving our neighbors. Availing ourselves of the tools that we have in our reach but always watching our sides.
