1 - READ THE WORD
The right advice
"Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom for the future. The human mind may devise many plans, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established."
2 - Reflect
Often, when faced with a certain situation that we do not know how to resolve, we resort to asking our brethren for advice. Events that we do not know how to face become a stage for many others to give us their opinions, but what happens when none of them is able to calm our hearts and make it leave us alone? Some of that advice may be contradictory and confuse us even more. That fear of being wrong may appear and cause us to make a decision based on those doubts.
In that moment we will have to resort to the only wise one: Our God. We will have to ask for understanding. A prayer that has had a lot of relevance in recent times is as follows: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; And wisdom to know the difference." I often keep it in mind whenever I have to make a complicated choice or I am somewhat lost on what to do in a bad situation. Our Father has promised to guide our paths, He will clear our doubts and will remove our bad feelings to give us the clarity we need. His love will solve our worries and we will rejoice in serenity. The Lord will set us free and help us to have a deep understanding of what will is the best for us and our brethren.
